The faces behind Tea & Policy

Desiree Solomon
Founder & Executive Director
Desiree Solomon founded Tea & Policy in 2020 out of a need for greater networking and collaboration opportunities among women entering the public policy field. Mrs. Solomon saw an opportunity for cross disciplinary conversations like those fostered on college campuses and identified the benefit of creating a space where women across industries could discuss issues as leaders in their respective fields and create actionable solutions to better their communities.
Based in the D.C. Metropolitan area, Mrs. Solomon currently works in policy research as a Research and Program Analyst at the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation’s Center for Policy Analysis and Research (CPAR). Prior to joining CPAR, Mrs. Solomon utilized her interdisciplinary background in human security and government relations as an Immigration Paralegal at Jackson Lewis P.C.
